presents anevening at the Palais de Tokyo, on June 27, 2003
vingtetunpuissancedouze sprung from an encounter between a group of students from Guillaume Paris' workshop at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts (Ensba), and twelve students from the contemporary Creation seminar at the Institut d'Études Politiques, Paris. Thanks to the patronage of la Caisse des dépôts et consignations, this meeting gave birth to an ambitious project.
vingtetunpuissancedouze is a business project managed by young artists and students in cultural management. This production cell adopts the codes of a typical company of the service sector, at times, in a fictional manner. In this indefinite space, between artistic fiction and reality emerges a utopian objective: to offer artistic services in the predefined framework of a business structure.
The first of vingtetunpuissancedouze productions, are a DVD presenting the team and a innovative television program where thoughts on television as an object or technology mingle with thoughts on what television might offer in terms of images and programs.
To present these first productions, vingtetunpuissancedouze presents an evening at the Palais de Tokyo, on June 27, 2003.
On this occasion, the television program will be projected. The broadcasting of the video will be punctuated by live performances and video and sound mixes which will serve the artistic logic of the evening.
