Busan
Museum of Modern Art presents special exhibition in association with the alternative
space Bandi, which provides independent exhibition space in Busan, single
channel video art of 22 international young video artists from Korea, France,
Sweden, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Bosnia. These are worldly acclaimed as emerging
young artists who has not yet been introduced in Korea. In addition to them
korean artists are organized with highly acclaimed, who mostly came from Busan,
in their field.
"Moving Windows" is to show the diversity of cultural experience
facing with the young generation whose spirit of the time is characterized
by the global network through video-mixed work. It has been organized by the
work displaying the life of "Here and Now"and various cultural environment
rather than that of the same, specific subject. The main concern of the artists
are wide; from the cultural matters such as on-line chatting to abstract figurative
elements and aesthetic problem; from the video work having similar structure
with the film to focused on the image like painting. Among them the most popular
work is about the uprising media culture that pays attention of the happenings
in every part of the world such as internet chatting or online game, the amusement
park and advertisement. And besides, it displays the diverse issue of the
political problem with the fresh approach dealt with the Bosnian war, the
comparison work of the different culture and language that shows the difference
and the common ground of them.
The title of "Moving windows" refers to a metaphor of the opened
windows to the world. Each video work means the creative and dwelling space
for the artist as well as the opened window to the world. In this exhibition
shows a various shape of the window flame as much as the landscape of in and
out of the window. The viewers can appreciate the diverse landscape of it
through the "different shape of the window flame" including projection
screen, a wall-mounted TV and TV monitor.

Dans le cadre du festival d’Hiver de Sarajevo “Sarajevska ZIMA
2006, XXII International Festival Sarajevo”, sur le thème de
la lumière la galerija 10m2 présente l’exposition “Vidéo-Salon”.
A cette occasion, la galerija 10m2 devient un véritable salon vidéo
où sera mis à disposition du spectateur, grâce à
une bibliothèque intégrée à l’installation,
des vidéos d’artistes de tous horizons.
Illustrant la “dictature du spectateur”, celui ci interviendra
directement sur le choix et la diffusion des vidéos.
